A gorgeous pair of turquoise earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold with 9kt wires,?each earring is comprised of a?lovely?teardrop shaped link that dangles from a complimentary topper. The links are adorned with vibrant micro prong-set turquoise cabochon stones, which rest in a fabulous checkerboard pattern across the entire surface. The stones exhibit beautiful blue hues that perfectly compliment their?intricately?carved gold setting. The links hang from a 6-point star surmount embellished with an additional cabochon and resting at the top is a simple gold wire, allowing the earrings to dangle with lovely movement. These fantastic Victorian earrings are perfect for everyday wear, and would make a wonderful?addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/8" long (including the wires at the top), and measures a little more than 1/4" wide and thick.
Condition: The earrings are in overall great antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting or wires. All of the turquoise stones are securely set, however, some of the stones appear to have been replaced with faux turquoise and some are slightly more recessed than others; neither issue detracts from the overall beauty of the earrings.?
