A lovely ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt rosy yellow gold, this wonderful piece displays a unique buckle design. The smoothly polished band overlaps itself, visually latched with a belcher set old European Cut diamond at the end of a faux belt buckle.?Four calibrated turquoise stones rest in a curved channel setting to imitate a belt loop and a sterling "notch" completes the design. The inside of the band is stamped with a "14" gold purity mark. This ring has an incredibly unique and delicate design and would be a wonderful addition to any Victorian collection.
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size 7.25 but could be minimally resized. The bands width measures approximately 4.5mm wide and the ring measures 4.25mm deep at the diamond motif.
Condition: The ring remains in overall excellent antique condition. There is a minor scratch at the edge of the underside of the band, but this is not visible when worn and is typical of antique wear. The diamond and turquoise stones are free of chips and scratches and are all securely set.?
