An unusual padlock bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stylish bangle bracelet is made of 14ktkt rose gold, and features a padlock-shaped centerpiece at the front.?Delicate turquoise stones decorate the surface, set where the keyhole and screws would be. At the top is a curved bar representing the handle. The padlock is purely decorative, and does not open or unlock. Instead, the hinged bracelet opens at a push clasp at the side, where?a safety chain provides extra security. This creative and beautifully made bracelet?would be right at home in the fashion-forward woman's collection!
Measurements:?The interior of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall, and would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The padlock centerpiece measures 1" tall, 3/4" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition:?The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The push clasp and safety chain fasten securely and are in good working condition. All of the turquoise accent stones are intact. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold, which is a normal characteristic of antique jewelry.
