A beautiful pair of Etruscan earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of vibrant 14kt yellow and rose gold, the earrings have an unusual 3-dimensional design complete with fine Etruscan wirework and beadwork. Each earring hangs from an intricately detailed surmount decorated with wire and ball motifs. Dangling from a hinge on the surmount are a domed centerpiece, decorated with curling sections of braided wires and crowned with gold balls. The earrings hang from simple earring wires and rest just below the ear when worn. Delicate and beautiful, they display wonderful artistry and would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang just under 1 3/8" long, are 1/2" wide and 3/8" thick.
Conditions: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or to the Etruscan wirework. The ear wires are intact and in good working condition.
